Summary: Of all the fox-weres in Konoha, Uzumaki Naruto is the strongest, as evidenced by his nine, bushy tails---the most of anyone else in the village.  As his mentor, Tsunade likes to point out (even though he’s had the job for over a hundred years) that being Hokage isn’t always about adventures.  But what else would you call it when an unknown cat-were crosses into your territory and stirs up trouble everywhere he goes?

Warnings: Thick plotlines that make you Think, mythical undertones, AU-Fantasy-esque setting, angst, Zoomorphism, mentions of abuse in later chapters, psychological issues, and deep musings.

Disclaimer: We do not own Naruto, nor do we own the sweet piece of ass – also known as Sasuke – along with the rest of the cast in Naruto. Sucks to be us, really.

A/N: (Arcane): Yes! Finally got this first chapter finished! ^__^ It was loads of fun to write it with the stunning and multi-talented Erisabesu, and I’m still gaping in awe at the talent she exudes in her works. The most credit for this chapter should be given to her, since she has mad writing skills! She can pump out a hundred pages in MSWord in three weeks, with the everyday stresses of her life. Everyone bow down to Liz! ^____^ I hope everyone enjoys this first installment of our epic NaruSasu fic!  Reviews/Criticism encouraged, but not mandatory.^^

(Erisabesu):  This is my first collaboration, and I must say I’ve had the best time!  My excitement cannot be quenched!  What a great process, working with Arcane and planning out our ideas- I can’t even say how much I’ve learned both about myself, and the craft of writing.  I’m so glad I let her persuade me to join her on this adventure *grins* and I hope you all are as pleased with our first chapter as we are.  Let us know how we can improve!
